Frequently asked questions
How much does an expert report cost?
The initial consultation is free. A report on a messaging conversation or an email costs from €450 + VAT (€544.50 incl. VAT); a rebuttal report, from €750 + VAT (€907.50 incl. VAT). All prices and terms are on the fees page, and the quote is fixed and in writing before we start.
How long does it take?
Between 3 and 15 working days depending on the service: 3 for a preliminary note, 10 for messaging and email or a rebuttal report, and 15 for audio and video, mobile phone and computer, or telecommunications. For data and software it depends on volume or scope. With urgency (+50%), delivery within 72 hours if the case allows it.
Do you ratify the report at trial?
Yes. In person, in Galicia, Asturias, León and Madrid: €400 + VAT (€484.00 incl. VAT) in the province of A Coruña (up to half a day) and €600 + VAT (€726.00 incl. VAT) plus travel at cost in the rest of that area. Outside it, by video link if the court allows it, or in person with a separate quote.
Do I have to pay in advance?
Yes, an advance payment: 100% on engagements of up to €600; above that, 50% on accepting the quote and 50% on delivery. If the engagement is cancelled, the work done is invoiced at the technical hourly rate and the rest is refunded.
Do you work outside A Coruña?
Yes. The office is in A Coruña and the service covers the whole of Spain. The report is produced the same wherever you are; only in-person ratification depends on the geographical area.
Do I need an expert for a WhatsApp message after STS 116/2025?
Not always. STS 116/2025 holds that an expert report is not always required to support a WhatsApp message, but that when it is challenged with reasons it is normally the expert report that proves its authenticity. If the other side challenges the evidence with reasons, or your case depends on it, an expert report strengthens it or lets you challenge theirs. In the free initial consultation we will tell you whether your case needs one.
