We provide expert reports on software projects: whether they meet what was agreed, their technical quality, their authorship and their code. It is needed when client and developer disagree about what was delivered or when who wrote what is disputed. From €1,500 + VAT (€1,815.00 incl. VAT); the timeframe depends on the scope.

When you need it

  • A client maintains that the delivered software does not meet what was contracted.
  • A developer claims payment for work that the client considers defective.
  • The authorship of a program, or whether code has been copied, is disputed.
  • The technical quality of a development must be assessed for proceedings.

  2. Fixed quoteWritten quote according to the scope, and advance payment.
  3. AnalysisWe study the code, the documentation and what was agreed.
  4. Report and ratificationA report in line with UNE 197001:2019 and, if needed, ratification in court.

Prices are shown excluding VAT and with VAT included (21%).

Urgency

A surcharge of +50% on the service price, with delivery within 72 hours, where the case allows it.

Advance payment

Advance payment of 100% on engagements of up to €600. Above that amount, 50% on accepting the quote and 50% on delivery.

Ratification at trial

Ratification of the report at trial, in person, in Galicia, Asturias, León and Madrid.

  • A fixed written quote before starting.
  • The report follows UNE 197001:2019 and is checked with our own Checker before delivery.
  • Deadlines are working days from receiving the material and acceptance of the quote.
  • Prices are shown without VAT and with VAT included.

Frequently asked questions

What material do I need to provide?

The code and, if they exist, the contract, the specifications and the change history, for example from a repository.

Can you determine whether code has been copied?

We can compare code and look for similarities. The conclusion depends on the material available and is stated with its limits.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the project. The timeframe is set in the quote, after the initial consultation.

Is it the same as consultancy?

No. An expert report answers specific questions in a dispute, in writing and with a method; it does not propose how to build the project.
